Honey Wound Plaster for skin: uses, preparation and dosage
Honey Wound Plaster is one of the remedies our library returns for skin. It is recorded in Edwin Smith Surgical Papyrus, Corpus Hippocraticum. Here is what those texts actually say, in ordinary English.
Traditionally used for
Diabetic ulcer, Burns 2°, Surgical dehiscence, MRSA-positive wounds.
How it was prepared
Raw manuka-grade honey 70 %, sea salt 10 %, frankincense resin powder 20 %, kneaded into a plaster.
Classical dose
Apply daily under sterile dressing; change every 24h.
Where it fits for skin
Clearer, calmer, better-hydrated skin. Honey Wound Plaster is usually used as part of a short cycle rather than indefinitely. Pair it with the vetted products below, or see the full skin shortlist.
